Desa Dairy Farm - Mesilau, Sabah

A trip to Kundasang won't be complete without visiting Desa Dairy Farm. We checked out from Kinabalu Pine Resort around 11am and drove to Desa Dairy Farm on our last day. It took us around 20 minutes to reach there. Beautiful farm view with amazing scenery. However, it was a cloudy day and the clouds shrouded the peak of Mt. Kinabalu.

Vehicles entering the farm must pass through a wheel dip at the entrance to prevent infections through biosecurity measures. Visitors have to walk / step on the foot bath before entering the calf pen as well.

Activities such as feeding the calves with bottled milk, feeding the goats with grass, milking process and raw milk processing are available for all. You can purchase bottled milk (RM 1.50) or grass (RM 1) at the counter for calves and goats feeding.

Types of activities:
a) Calf feeding - 9am to 4pm (daily)
b) Milking process - 2.30pm to 4.30pm (daily)
c) Raw milk processing - 10am to 3pm (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday)

You can also buy fresh milk, freshly made ice cream, yogurts, goat milk and cheese at Desa Dairy Farm. Check out the price list below:

Jollibee is a Filipino multinational chain of fast food restaurants. On the day of arrival, we asked our friendly Grab driver what is the must-try food in Philippines and he mentioned Jollibee. So here we at Jollibee located inside Landmark Department Store just 4 minutes (250m) walking distance from  New World Makati Hotel . We ordered 2 pieces of chicken served with rice and drink. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay.
