Margaret River - Surfers Point Prevelly - Mammoth Cave - Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse - Canal Rocks (Day 2) - Western Australia

We kicked off the day at 10am, checked out from Ramada Resort Dunsborough and had our brunch at McDonalds, 15 minutes drive from the resort. I love to order their happy meal because not only it comes with a toy but I get to choose either small fries or fruit bag and drink. My partner on the other hand ordered bacon & egg McMuffin value meal with iced chocolate and hash brown. You can never go wrong with McD and we had a great brunch :)

We reached Margaret River 40 minutes later and coincidentally we parked our car nearby an ice cream shop. Who doesn't like ice cream and I decided to give it a try. Millers ice cream is handmade and the milk that they use comes straight from their own cows. The staff was very friendly and let us sample several flavours of their ice cream. My partner doesn't really enjoyed it because he finds it too sweet for his liking. There's 4 types of size available:

a) Mini moo (kids / small) - $ 4
b) Single scoop (adult) - $ 5.50
c) Double scoop - $ 7
d) Triple scoop - $ 8

We have no idea what to have for lunch and randomly walked into this shop. Leeuwin Diner is located in Augusta, approximately 30 minutes drive from Mammoth Cave. I ordered fish and chips (kids meal) while my partner ordered burger. It was good. Fries were crispy, fish were fresh and burger was juicy. All burgers include onion, lettuce carrot and tomato. Augusta is a small and quiet town. Local attractions include Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, just 12 minutes drive from Leeuwin Diner.

Our final stop of the day was Canal Rocks approximately 1 hour 15 minutes from Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. Spectacular coastal view and unique formation of granite gneiss rocks which has been weathered over time by the crashing waves to form a canal shape. There's a timber broadwalk which takes you out onto the rocks.

On the way back to Baldivis, we dropped by KFC for dinner. I like the fact that we get to choose either fries or shaker salad when we ordered their meal. Chicken was tender and juicy. Perfect combination with my favourite Solo drink.
