Macau - Day 6 (Final day)

It's our final day in Macau and we checked out from Hotel Beverly Plaza Macau around 11am. Check out process was a bit slow because they need to confirm the condition of our room before returning our deposit. We left our luggage in the hotel luggage room and walked to Hou Keng Fan Tim, 13 minutes walking distance from our hotel stay.

We ordered 2 plates of roasted duck mixed with roasted pork rice and 1 teapot of Chinese tea. Rice comes with cabbages as well. Roasted pork was good but slightly salty. I'm not a vege lover but the cabbage was tasty. Roasted duck on the other hand tasted so-so with non-crispy skin but glad that there's no gamey taste on it.

(Total bill: MOP$ 68)

St. Dominic Church is just 2 minutes walking distance from Hou Keng Fan Time. I decided to enter the church and snap a few shots of the interior. They allow interior photography but no flash.

We passed by street food nearby Senado Square and bought a glass of grass jelly milk tea before heading back to our hotel. I was too full to eat my favourite curry skewers.

We took the hotel free shuttle bus to Macau Ferry Terminal around 1.30pm and waited to board our 3.15pm ferry to SkyPier at HKIA. Passengers need to arrive at the Macau ticketing counter at least 60 minutes before ferry departure time for ticketing and transfer procedures or 30 minutes for passengers without checked luggage. Sailing time approximately 70 minutes from Macau Ferry Terminal to SkyPier at HKIA.

Once you reached SkyPier, look for your airline check-in counter and get a printed boarding pass from them. Passenger who arrive at HKIA by cross-boundary ferry service for onward departure by air are exempted from Air Passenger Departure Tax (ADPT). A refund coupon will be issued to you together with your boarding pass. You can then collect your refund (HKD 120 per person) at the "Departure Tax Refund Desk" after completing security screening. Then board the Automated People Mover to Passenger Terminal Building of HKIA.

We had our early dinner at Cafe de Coral. I ordered Hainan chicken set while my partner ordered roasted goose leg set. Hainan chicken was good. Somehow, I enjoyed the lettuce very much. Overall it was a great trip and I will definitely miss the milk tea and toast with butter. We still have the on-loan Octopus card with us because there's no MTR customer service counter once you have checked in HKIA. Good bye Hong Kong and hope to see you again...
